"Before VAHPA took over Community Health, EBAs expired at the same time as the public sector. It used to be a year after the nominal expiry that we finally got to start bargaining. It made us feel like poor cousins to the public sector. Now we're treated as a sector in our own right and have set some precedents for the public sector...like the auto grade 1 to grade 2. There have been big improvements in CH in recent years including the 5th week of annual leave. And the pay increases. Always appreciate those!"
