This is how your postal ballot will look. It is a very plain envelope, but we need you to open and complete your ballot and post it back to the AEC as soon as you can.

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) will post your ballot to you on 28 July 2026. The postal ballot closes on 25 August 2026. VAHPA Unity encourages you to vote early and post your completed ballot in the prepaid envelope to the AEC.

Important 'How to Vote' Guidance.
The HSU rules do not use preferential voting.
Instead, the ballot paper is designed to allow members to vote either above the line or below the line.
The VAHPA UNITY team is asking you to vote ABOVE the line by placing an X in the box beside our name.
Above the Line Voting.
If there is at least one registered team (which there is), the ballot paper will contain a single box for each team.
A member simply places a mark in the box for the team they wish to vote for.
Marking one team box counts as a vote for every candidate on that team's ticket.
Nothing more to do.
Follow the instructions with the ballot paper on how to seal your ballot envelope and mail it back.
Below the Line Voting.
Important How to Vote Guidance.

Voters must not vote for more candidates than there are positions to be filled, but may vote for less.
So, for HSU Victoria No.3 a voter could mark:
President: 1 candidate
Vice President: 1 candidate
Secretary: 1 candidate
Assistant Secretary: 1 candidate
Branch Committee: up to 5 candidates
National Council Delegates: up to 7 candidates
